Would buy Becker again but never second hand. Battery doesnt hold charge. Have had 3 Beckers prior and they are Brilliant. Have bought a TomTom for motor cycle and wanted another Becker for car. (my last one developed an electric fault).

I love the way they work, and accuracy etc, but this one is nothing like as good as any previous ones I have owned. Perhaps as it was second hand?

Shall buy Becker again, but shall buy new. If they made (waterproof) motor cycle ones, I wouldnt have touched any other manufacturer. My first sat nav - Becker 7929 I was looking for a sat nav and spotted this one. I have seen Becker in Halfords and thought it was worth a try.( I had almost decided on a TomTom ) I decided to buy because it was in the price bracket on ebay that I wanted to spend. It looks good but i found its operation somewhat confusing- although it is early days yet and i have no comparison with another sat nav. It got me to a destination in Birmingham that I would have struggled to find easily- so may be more promising as I use it more. I suggest any prospective buyers look for a review by someone who can compare this with another good sat nav that they have used.
